Holiday letting agents for Ceredigion and Cardigan Bay

Cardigan Bay has some of the best coast in Wales and far fewer holiday lets marketing it well. Dolphins off New Quay, the coves at Llangrannog and Tresaith, Georgian Aberaeron. Guests love it. Too many great cottages here still rely on one listing site and hope.

StayGentic is an independent holiday letting agency for West Wales. We market Ceredigion holiday lets properly, take bookings direct and through channels like Airbnb and Booking.com, and look after your guests from enquiry to checkout.

Where we work in Ceredigion

Cardigan and the Teifi Estuary

A proper market town with the castle, Poppit Sands and Mwnt on the doorstep. Cardigan sits right on the Pembrokeshire border, so properties here can be marketed to guests looking at either county.

Aberporth, Tresaith and Penbryn

Small beaches, the waterfall at Tresaith and big family summer demand.

Llangrannog

One of the most photographed coves in Wales. Properties here can command strong rates if they're presented properly.

New Quay

Harbour, dolphins and boat trips. A busy summer and a season that can be stretched with the right marketing.

Aberaeron

Colourful Georgian harbour town and a real food destination. Guests here will pay for character and a good location, so presentation matters.

Newcastle Emlyn and the Teifi Valley

Inland, quieter and great value for guests who want river, countryside and easy reach of the coast.

Further north towards Aberystwyth? We can still market and take bookings for you. Just ask.

Why owners talk to us

I spent nearly a decade in holiday letting, ultimately as New Business Director at cottages.com. A big part of that job was sitting at kitchen tables across West Wales, including plenty along Cardigan Bay, talking to owners about what was and wasn't working for them.

StayGentic is what I wanted to offer them: more personal, better marketing for each individual property, and modern booking technology without losing the local contact.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I advertise my holiday let in Ceredigion?

Most owners do best with a mix: a strong direct listing that builds repeat guests, plus one or two major channels like Airbnb or Booking.com for reach. What matters most is how well the property is presented on each, not how many sites it appears on. We've written more about this in Where should I advertise my holiday let in Cardigan Bay?

Do you offer changeovers and cleaning in Ceredigion?

Not at the moment. In Ceredigion we handle marketing, bookings and guest management, and you keep your own cleaner or housekeeper for changeovers.

Do I have to leave Airbnb or Booking.com?

No. We can connect your existing listings so your calendar stays in sync, and build your direct bookings alongside them. OTAs bring reach. Direct bookings build independence. The strongest approach usually uses both.

What does StayGentic charge?

A flat 12% commission on each booking, whether it comes direct or through a channel like Airbnb or Booking.com. One rate, no extra fees.

Does my holiday let need to meet the 182-day rule?

To be rated for business rates rather than council tax in Wales, self-catering properties need to be available to let for at least 252 days a year and actually let for at least 182 days. Better marketing and a longer season are often what get a property over that line. We'll look at your occupancy as part of a free property review.

You created somewhere special. We'll help more people discover it.
